Abu Dhabi, UAE: Abu Dhabi Golf Club, the emirate’s leading golf destination and the home of the annual Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, is launching an all-new ‘Experience Day’ to engage the local community and boost grassroots participation in the game.
The first ‘Experience Day’ tees off with promotions available on branded clothing, equipment and official club merchandise at the Club’s Golf Shop throughout the next four weeks, the UAE public can also learn about the capital’s leading Community Club for an exclusive April Membership Trial. The special promotion allows prospective members to experience all aspects of the award-winning Club – from preferred tee-times and tuition deals to fitness facilities and fine dining outlets - for 30 days starting from AED 1750.
“As part of our commitment to the multinational Abu Dhabi community that has supported the Club for so many years, our new Experience Day concept will be completely free-to-attend and open to everyone,” said Callum Nicoll, Director of Golf, Abu Dhabi Golf Club, which is managed by Troon Golf, the world’s largest third party manager of golf and Club operations.
“The Experience Day will be a major draw for our community. Our goal is to pique the public’s interest and then encourage them to celebrate and look forward to a host of exciting activities in the coming months. Our exclusive Membership Trial is just the beginning,” he added.
Due to be held every quarter, the opening ‘Experience Day’ on Friday 18 March gives existing golf fans and newcomers to the game the chance to join complimentary, golf clinics with the Club’s expert team of in-house professionals, long drive competitions, women’s only sessions and the chance to measure up their swings with custom club fittings by world-renowned manufacturers including TaylorMade, Callaway, PING and Titleist.
Leaving no bunker unraked, the ‘Experience Day’ will feature various kids’ activities including face painting, bouncy castles, SNAG® Golf – a fun and family-friendly developmental game which is perfect for kids – and Footgolf, a hybrid of football and golf. The ‘Experience Day’ will also see the Club’s on-site Health Club run a series of 80-minute Fit & Flex fitness classes, in addition football fans will be in their element with a session of football games, perfect for honing those all-important skills. Word class dining offerings will feature various BBQ stations operated by the Club’s world-class hospitality team on the practice range – a European Tour level facility overlooking one of the most iconic clubhouses in global golf.
